I was at Wi Spa earlier this week and there were signs up about changes to their admission discount pricing. Starting May 1, the following will be in effect:
- Tuesday admission will go up from $15 to $20. This also applies to Senior Thursdays, and the birthday discount.
- Wi will no longer offer the discounted "Sauna Only" admission.
On the plus side, there's a good deal on their website: You can buy 10 spa passes for $150. The catch is that you have to buy it through the website and it takes 24 hours for it to process, at which point you can pick it up at the front counter. But when you pick it up, you get 10 individual passes. Presumably, you can share them.
Usually the main reason I go to places other than Wi is because of Wi's pricing. But now that it works out to $15 a pop, I will definitely go more often. And I can share passes with friends that come with me!
Korean spas are becoming more and more popular among the non-Korean population in Los Angeles. I've visited several and thought I'd post my impressions of a few of them.

Cracked post about swimming pool cleaners
Thought this article was interesting and relevant to spas:

Mostly... if a pool smells like chemicals, it's not clean.
