Body types

I've seen a few comments in the open threads, and gotten some emails as well. People wondering how they'd be treated at a spa if they're overweight.

I'm not really sure exactly what they mean. I was at Century Spa on Sunday and there were guys of all shapes and sizes. Skinny guys, muscular guys, average guys, and various degrees of overweight guys. I didn't personally see any negativity toward overweight guys.

That said, I got the sense that they meant something like "will the guys have sex with me?"and the answer is "Who knows?" Different guys are attracted to different types. For me personally, body type isn't all that important. If a guy is overweight, I can still find them attractive.

But do thin/muscular/young guys get more action? Probably. Just like in the world outside of the spa.

But if you're going to a Korean spa with the expectation that it's a sexual free-for-all, or if you think the price of admission includes some kind of "right" to fool around with the people of your choosing simply because you're all naked, then you shouldn't go.

Anyone disagree?

  1. I've seen plenty of fat guys and 1 very obese guy at Century. I don't think I've ever noticed anyone treating them poorly. If there is mutual interest between 2 people then they let each other know, otherwise everyone just seems to mind their own business. Myself, I like a guy with some meat on his bones, but the difference between a hot beefy linebacker and a sloppy out of shape fat guy is hard to define. It's like the definition of obscenity, I know it when I see it. I've been to Century enough times to know that eventually a J/O party will break out in the patio area and whoever is out there can participate, hot, ugly, and everything in between.

  2. While on the issue of who's attracted to whom, let's address when someone is clearly NOT attracted to you. I think you've mentioned this before, but why are some guys so dense that they cannot comprehend that their advances are unwelcomed. If I clearly give signals that I do not want to talk and just want to relax, why do they insist on following me relentlessly. At least be subtle and discreet.

I always assume that everyone else wants to be left alone.

  3. I agreed. There are a few times when I see a guy in the sauna and was not interested I simply did not make eye contact and/or being talkative, the guy would suddenly reached for my junk! I have to say backoff buddy. it's crazy!

  4. As a big guy myself, I've never had any issues at any of the k-spas I've visited...
Your lack of confidence will work against you more than your extra weight.

    Stop being scared. Go.

  5. I'm a big guy too. Once at a k-spa I was subject to some truly obnoxious attitude about my body from a couple of cruisers. I wasn't chasing anyone, in fact I wasn't there to hook up at all. A little later I happened to strike up a conversation with a very handsome, very athletic guy who was being chased all over the place by the cruisers. Like me he was just there to relax, not interesting in hooking up at all. We had a damn good laugh about how desperately the cruisers were trying to get his attention, and how outraged they were that he appeared to have chosen me instead of them. We ended up hanging out together and talking most of the evening. He was glad to have me there as a line of defense against the guys who wouldn't accept his obvious lack of interest in them.

I have to add that if you're looking to hook up at a k-spa, my experience is that there are some spas where you are more likely to run into bias against larger bodies and more mature guys, and other spas where those things really won't matter at all.

  7. Nope couldn't disagree more, you list the cruisiness of each spa on your site, so that's bullshit and your contradicting yourself, word to the author. On the other hand its true, slimmer more in shape guys get more attention that's just the way it is and why the gay community hates them lol. But I've seen everyone of all body shapes get attention. Why even address the question if your'e against gay cruising at spas author?
I go to spas to cruise watch orgies break out etc, theres nothing wrong with that and for damn sure it don't make me desperate.

    1. What the fuck? I'm not against cruising so I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

(1)I'm against being in a sleeping room, trying to sleep, and some guy that I haven't shown any interest toward suddenly grabs my dick or goes down on me.

      (2) I'm against sitting in a sauna, again not being interested in the other guy in there, and the other guy moves right next to me and starts jerking off.

Both of the above have happened to me.

Basically, I'm against sexual activity that ISN'T CONSENSUAL.

And if you like sex in the spa, I don't give a shit. Do whatever you want, AS LONG AS EVERYONE INVOLVED WANTS TO. If everyone is cool with it, great! Jerk off, suck dicks, bareback if you're dumb enough to do that. I don't care.

But if there are people in there that DON'T WANT TO, they will start complaining, management will start cracking down, maybe even police will get involved. And then, wave bye-bye to the orgies you love so much. But apparently you can't think past your next orgasm, so logic and forward thinking escape you.

Why the hell is that so fucking hard to understand?

    2. Desperate Dude:
You seem to be confusing a K Spa with a gay bath house like the FLEX Complex or the Hollywood or Midtowne Spa. I agree with GSG. Don't ruin it for those of us who just want to steam, soak and relax with some scenery. Consensual activity is fine (though inappropriate at a K Spa). Take it elsewhere. For example: I don't need that bald mixed Asian/Latino with the enormous cock trying to give me an "underwater workout" in the hot tea soak every time I am at Century. I only said "Hi" because he said "Hi" upon entering. That does not mean I want to play with him. He always seems to be lurking at Century trying to grab some dick.
If I want to see two guys or more getting it on or join in I will go to a gay bath house where that activity is appropriate. I can play in the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, masturbate for an audience in the video jerk-off rooms, eat some guys ass in the group showers or find a bottom with a room and poke him in the ass while wearing a FREE condom. It may not be as nice as a K Spa but the price is about the same and the chance of getting kicked out, offending innocent bystanders & children or worse, being arrested, is non-existent. Maybe the possibility of getting caught is the real thrill?
